Trauma Informed Yoga Training

This 3-day intensive takes a deep dive into the pillars of Trauma Informed Care applied to helping professionals or teachers wanting to support special populations and communities and to be better equipped for working with trauma sensitive clients.  We will take a multidimensional and evidence-based approach considering the intersection of the neurobiology of trauma, somatic psychology, social justice, and strength-based practices.  We will also address ethics, adjustments, trauma sensitive breath-work and meditation, class etiquette, and how Trauma Informed and Healing Centered Care honors traditional principles of yoga philosophy.

Not a yoga teacher?  That’s ok, this training is open to anyone wanting to deepen their self-study, as well as social workers, counselors, or schoolteachers wanting to develop a comprehensive toolkit of mind-body practices and a solid understanding of trauma care.
