“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
― Viktor E. Frankl
“When I met Robin a few years ago, I was suffering from post-traumatic stress and barely functioning. Every aspect of my life was a mess. My nervous system was stuck in a chronically heightened state and my body perceived almost everything as life-threatening. After working with her for the last two years, I am back to living (instead of surviving) and excited to see what new adventures await. I always felt safe. I always felt heard. I learned so much from her and will always be grateful for her wisdom and teachings.” LB
“Every now and again, someone will come along that combines a deep, intuitive understanding of the complexities of the energetic ‘world’ with a firm grasp of scientific and psychological knowledge and I believe that I have found that in Robin. Perhaps due to her own life experiences or for reasons we are not always able to grasp, she seems to have a gift that allows her to understand – either cognitively or intuitively – what is needed to allow deep healing to occur.” RM
Im glad you are here!
I’ve been working in the mental health and wellness field for over 24 years. My integrative practice combines Clinical Psychology with Somatic (body-based) therapies, Trauma-Informed Care, and Energy Psychology practices. I specialize in somatic interventions for trauma resolution. I work within an alternative paradigm of care rooted in both progressive and ancient methods of embodiment, analysis, and reflection. It is a blend of science and soul, intellect, and heart.
My work is outside the box of traditional psychotherapy. I consider the interconnectivity of body, mind, spirit, energy, community, and ecology. My approach is strength-based and holistic rather than diagnostic/pathological. It is not my place to fix, label, or medicate but rather guide and support you in a more natural healing process, to empower you to be the agent of inspiration on your path of self-discovery.
Our time together will consist of deep and contemplative conversations. I will offer a bird’s-eye view of your circumstances illuminating new perspectives. I will help you build a dynamic pallet of tools specific to your unique needs, encourage adaptive thoughts and behaviors, and awaken resilience. I also provide a good dose of tough love by keeping you engaged and accountable.
Practice is open to general population and also caters to those first and second responders who are seeking an alternative approach to mental health treatment.
